SENATE RESOLUTION


 
2
    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3
learn of the death of Ruth Elaine Huthmann of Peoria, formerly 
4
of Morton, who passed away on December 11, 2008; and

 
5
    WHEREAS, She was born June 1, 1936, in Fairview, Kansas, a 
6
daughter of Silas and Lydia Steiner Hohulin; she married George 
7
W. Huthmann on November 24, 1963, in Peoria and they had 
8
recently  celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary; and

 
9
    WHEREAS, Ruth had a warm and loving heart and served her 
10
family and her Lord faithfully; and

 
11
    WHEREAS, She worked for Nestle of Morton for 26 years;

Ruth 
12
graduated from Dunlap High School in 1954;

and she was a member 
13
of Sheridan Road Apostolic Christian Church; and

 
14
    WHEREAS, Ruth was preceded in death by one brother, Alph 
15
Hohulin; and

 
16
    WHEREAS, Ruth Huthmann is survived by her husband, George; 
17
she is also survived by three daughters, Katherine Huthmann, 
18
Susan (Rick) Scott, and Heidi (Ben) Hartter; her four 
19
grandchildren, Allison Scott and Lydia Scott, and Kyler Hartter 
20
and Macy Hartter; her four brothers, Martin (Edith) Hohulin,

Vernon (Marie) Hohulin, Melvin (Shirley) Hohulin, and Ben (Mary 
2
Kay) Hohulin; her two sisters, Edith (Silas) Knobloch and Mary 
3
Haynes; and numerous nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

    RESOLVED, BY THE  SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL 
5
ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 
6
her family and friends, the passing of Ruth Huthmann; and be it 
7
further

 
8
    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
9
presented to the family of Ruth Huthmann as a symbol of our 
10
sincere sympathy.
