Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Health Care Worker Background Check Act. Removes the requirement that a person listed on the Health Care Worker Registry who requests a waiver of the prohibition against employment must show that he or she has paid all outstanding fines. Effective immediately.

House Committee Amendment No. 1
Deletes everything after the enacting clause. Amends the Health Care Worker Background Check Act. In a provision concerning the requirements for a person listed on the Health Care Worker Registry who is requesting a waiver of the prohibition against employment, provides that he or she must show that all outstanding fines have been paid, except for in the instance of payment of court-imposed fines or restitution in which the applicant is adhering to a payment schedule. Effective immediately.

 This legislation would have no fiscal impact on the Illinois Department of Public Health.
