Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Public Utilities Act. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning the Illinois Commerce Commission.

House Floor Amendment No. 1
Replaces everything after the enacting clause. Provides that beginning after the effective date of the amendatory Act and unless 2 members of the Illinois Commerce Commission currently reside in an area served by an electric utility that serves more than 100,000 customers but fewer than 2 million customers in the State, vacancies must be filled by appointees that reside in areas served by an electric utility that serves more than 100,000 customers but fewer than 2 million customers in the State. Effective immediately.

Senate Committee Amendment No. 1
Replaces everything after the enacting clause. Amends the Public Utilities Act. Provides that any vacancies that are filled after the effective date of the amendatory Act must ensure that at all times, there are at least 2 members who reside in areas served by an electric utility that serves more than 100,000 customers but fewer than 2 million customers in the State. Effective immediately.
