Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the School Code. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning the State aid formula.

Senate Committee Amendment No. 1
Deletes everything after the enacting clause. Amends the State aid formula provisions of the School Code. Allows supplementary grants in aid until the 2013-2014 school year. Provides that, for the 2009-2010 school year through the 2012-2013 school year, a school district is eligible for a supplementary payment if the school district also received a supplementary payment during the prior school year. Provides that (i) for the 2009-2010 school year only, the supplementary grants in aid shall be no more than 80% of the eligible amount; (ii) for the 2010-2011 school year only, the supplementary grants in aid shall be no more than 60% of the eligible amount; (iii) for the 2011-2012 school year only, the supplementary grants in aid shall be no more than 40% of the eligible amount; (iv) for the 2012-2013 school year only, the supplementary grants in aid shall be no more than 20% of the eligible amount; and (v) for the 2013-2014 school year and every school year thereafter, no supplementary grants in aid shall be made available. Effective immediately.
