Fiscal Note, House Floor Amendment No. 1 (Dept. of Human Services)
If the funds are appropriated as indicated in HB 3653, $1 million is earmarked for program evaluation and administration of the initiative. However, the amount available to the Department to implement the bill may be limited to $100,000, which is insufficient. The Department of Human Services will require at least four additional staff to implement the provisions of this bill. The staffing requirements are estimated as a Public Service Administrator Option 6 to administer the program; an Administrative Assistant I to provide administrative support and two Public Service Administrators (Option 8N) to monitor the performance of agencies funded to conduct HIV prevention or treatment activities. This will require approximately $600,000 for staffing. |

Does not create a State mandate. |
Home Rule Note, House Floor Amendment No. 1 (Dept. of Commerce & Economic Opportunity)
