Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Illinois Lake Management Program Act. Creates the Task Force on the Conservation and Quality of the Great Lakes for the protection of the water quality and supply of the Great Lakes. Sets forth the membership, powers, and duties of the Task Force. Effective immediately.

House Committee Amendment No. 1
Removes the Lt. Governor from the Task Force on the Conservation and Quality of the Great Lakes and provides that one member of the Task Force must be appointed by the Governor. Requires the Environmental Protection Agency with the assistance of the Department of Natural Resources to provide administrative support to the Task Force (now, administrative support is to be provided by the Office of the Lieutenant Governor).
