Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the State Commemorative Dates Act. Designates each February 28th as a day for the commemoration of and reflection upon the contributions of African American slaves to Illinois and the United States. Effective immediately.

Adds reference to:
5 ILCS 490/155 new

Deletes everything after the enacting clause. Amends the State Commemorative Dates Act. Designates each March 25 as the Day of Remembrance of the Victims of Slavery and the Transatlantic Slave Trade. Effective immediately.
