Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Physical Fitness Facility Medical Emergency Preparedness Act. Adds facilities owned or operated by a public school organized under the School Code to the list of facilities that do not fall under the definition of "physical fitness facility". Effective immediately.

210 ILCS 74/50

Replaces everything after the enacting clause. Amends the Physical Fitness Facility Medical Emergency Preparedness Act. Provides that a public entity owning or operating more than 4 outdoor physical fitness facilities must have 10% of those facilities in compliance by July 1, 2012; 20% of those facilities in compliance by July 1, 2013; 30% of those facilities in compliance by July 1, 2014; 40% of those facilities in compliance by July 1, 2015; 50% of those facilities in compliance by July 1, 2016; 60% of those facilities in compliance by July 1, 2017; 70% of those facilities in compliance by July 1, 2018; 80% of those facilities in compliance by July 1, 2019; and 90% of those facilities in compliance by July 1, 2020; and 100% of those facilities in compliance by July 1, 2021. Eliminates language providing that a public entity owning or operating more than 4 outdoor physical fitness facilities must have 25% of those facilities in compliance by July 1, 2009; 50% of those facilities in compliance by July 1, 2010; 75% of those facilities in compliance by July 1, 2011; and 100% of those facilities in compliance by July 1, 2012.

Replaces everything after the enacting clause. Amends the Physical Fitness Facility Medical Emergency Preparedness Act. Eliminates language providing that in the case of an outdoor physical fitness facility, if there is no building available to house an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) device, the person responsible for supervising the activity at the outdoor physical fitness facility shall ensure that an AED is available at the outdoor facility during the time that the event or activity at the facility is being conducted.
