Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity Law of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois. Authorizes the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity, subject to appropriation, to create financial incentive and grant programs to encourage private companies to share their new energy technologies with public institutions of higher education, public utilities, State agencies, and federal agencies.

House Committee Amendment No. 1
Authorizes the Department, through its financial incentive and grant programs, to encourage private companies to share their new energy technologies with electric cooperatives as well as with the entities identified in the introduced bill. Defines "electric cooperative". Makes a technical change.
