Synopsis As Introduced
Creates the Task Force on Electronic Access to Circuit Court Records. Provides that the Task Force shall study laws and procedures relating to electronic access by the public to circuit court records and the exemptions from such disclosure and shall submit a report to the Governor and General Assembly by December 31, 2009.

House Committee Amendment No. 1
Deletes everything after the title of the resolution. Reinserts the provisions of the resolution. Replaces appointments from the Illinois Press Association with appointments from a group representing members of the free press and replaces appointments by the Illinois Association of Court Clerks with appointments by a group representing court clerks. Provides that the expenses of members of the Task Force may be reimbursed from funds appropriated to the Administrative Office of the Illinois Courts for that purpose. Provides that the Task Force shall submit its report to the Governor and the General Assembly by May 31, 2010 instead of December 31, 2009.
