Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Illinois Municipal Code. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning the short title.

Senate Floor Amendment No. 1
Deletes reference to:
65 ILCS 5/1-1-1
Adds reference to:
55 ILCS 5/5-1006.5

Deletes everything after the enacting clause. Amends the Counties Code. Adds that if a special county retailers' occupation tax is imposed for public facilities purposes, the name of the project may be included in the proposition at the discretion of the county board. Effective immediately.

House Committee Amendment No. 1
Adds reference to:
55 ILCS 5/5-1005from Ch. 34, par. 5-1005

Further amends the Counties Code. Authorizes counties with a population of 100,000 or less and a public building commission organized by the county seat of the county, to cause to be erected or otherwise provided, and to maintain or cause to be maintained, suitable facilities to house students pursuing a post-secondary education at an academic institution located within the county.
