Amends the Riverboat Gambling Act. Provides that, if a fine is imposed on an owner licensee for knowingly sending marketing or promotional materials to any person placed on the self-exclusion list, then the Illinois Gaming Board shall distribute an amount equal to 15% of the fine imposed to the unit of local government in which the riverboat is located for the purpose of awarding grants to non-profit entities that assist gambling addicts. Effective immediately.

| AN ACT concerning gaming.

| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|

| represented in the General Assembly:
|

| Section 5. The Riverboat Gambling Act is amended by adding |
5 |
| Section 18.1 as follows: |

| (230 ILCS 10/18.1 new) |

| Sec. 18.1. Distribution of certain fines. If a fine is |
8 |
| imposed on an owner licensee for knowingly sending marketing or |
9 |
| promotional materials to any person placed on the |
10 |
| self-exclusion list, then the Board shall distribute an amount |
11 |
| equal to 15% of the fine imposed to the unit of local |
12 |
| government in which the riverboat is located for the purpose of |
13 |
| awarding grants to non-profit entities that assist gambling |
14 |
| addicts.

| Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon |
16 |
| becoming law.
