AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 34

    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 34 by replacing

everything after the enacting clause with the following:

    "Section 5. The School Code is amended  by adding Sections 
5
10-20.46 and  34-18.37 as follows:

    (105 ILCS 5/10-20.46 new)

    Sec. 10-20.46. Posting of fire alarm and fire sprinkler 
8
inspection date and building capacity. In each school building 
9
in the school district, the date of the last fire alarm and 
10
fire sprinkler inspection at the building and the capacity of 
11
the building must be posted.

    Section 90. The State Mandates Act is amended by adding

Section 8.33 as follows:

    (30 ILCS 805/8.33 new)

    Sec. 8.33. Exempt mandate. Notwithstanding Sections 6 and 8 
7
of this Act, no reimbursement by the State is required for the 
8
implementation of any mandate created by this amendatory Act of 
9
the 96th General Assembly.".
