| AN ACT concerning public aid.
|

| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|

| represented in the General Assembly:
|

| Section 5. The Illinois Public Aid Code is amended by |
| 5 |
| adding Section 5-5.27 as follows:
|

| (305 ILCS 5/5-5.27 new) |
| 7 |
| Sec. 5-5.27. Mental health services; advanced practice |
| 8 |
| nurses. The Department of Healthcare and Family Services shall |
| 9 |
| reimburse advanced practice nurses for psychiatric services |
| 10 |
| that they provide to recipients of medical assistance pursuant |
| 11 |
| to a collaborative agreement with a collaborating physician |
| 12 |
| that authorizes the provision of psychiatric services.

| 13 |
| Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon |
| 14 |
| becoming law.
