Amends the Illinois Vehicle Code. Provides that a person who commits 3 offenses
against traffic regulations governing the movement of vehicles within any 12 month period, in addition to any other penalty imposed by the court, shall be fined twice the amount authorized for the offense.

| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

| represented in the General Assembly:
|

| Section 5. The Illinois Vehicle Code is amended by adding |

| Section 16-104e as follows: |

| (625 ILCS 5/16-104e new) |

| Sec. 16-104e. Offenses against traffic regulations |

| governing the movement of vehicles; double fines. A person who |
9 |
| commits 3 offenses
against traffic regulations governing the |

| movement of vehicles within any 12 month period, in addition to |
11 |
| any other penalty imposed by the court, shall be fined twice |

| the amount authorized for the offense.
