1 | AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 528

2 | AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 528, AS AMENDED, | ||||||
3 | with reference to page and line numbers of House Amendment No. | ||||||
4 | 2, on page 1, line 5 by deleting "Section 5. The State | ||||||
5 | Employees Group Insurance Act of 1971"; and
| ||||||
6 | by deleting lines 6 through 16 of page 1, all of pages 2 | ||||||
7 | through 6, and lines 1 through 9 of page 7; and
| ||||||
8 | on page 8, by replacing lines 13 through 18 with the following: | ||||||
9 | "except as otherwise provided by law. Within 24 hours of | ||||||
10 | receiving medical services from a health care provider, each | ||||||
11 | patient has a right to be informed of his or her inpatient or | ||||||
12 | outpatient status. If within that time period the health care | ||||||
13 | provider has yet to designate the patient as either inpatient | ||||||
14 | or outpatient, the patient must be informed of this fact and | ||||||
15 | put on notice that his or her subsequent status may affect | ||||||
16 | coverage by his or her health insurance policy or health care |

1 | plan or his or her personal responsibility for payment. "; and

2 | on page 10, line 16 by deleting the following: | ||||||
3 | "Section 95. No acceleration or delay. Where this Act makes"; | ||||||
