    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 650 as follows:

on page 2, line 23, after "c." by inserting "during which,";

and

on page 3, by replacing line 2 with the following:

"period; the disabled or retired fireman, if not enrolled
in 
7
the municipal group insurance plan at the time of
disability or 
8
retirement, may elect to enroll in the municipal group 
9
insurance plan during an open enrollment period but not after 
10
the fireman becomes eligible for federal Medicare coverage and 
11
not more than once; the fireman must be insurable and must pay 
12
the cost of the insurance premium at a rate set in accordance 
13
with this Code in order to reenter the municipal group 
14
insurance plan.".
