SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
Appropriates $22,500,000 from the General Revenue Fund to the Department of Human Services for all costs associated with a $0.50 per-hour wage increase for nonexecutive staff of private-sector agencies serving individuals with developmental disabilities, beginning January 1, 2009. Effective immediately.

AN ACT concerning appropriations.
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:
Section 5. The sum of $22,500,000, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund to the Department of Human Services for all costs associated with a $0.50 per-hour wage increase for nonexecutive staff of private-sector agencies serving individuals with developmental disabilities, beginning January 1, 2009.
Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon becoming law.
