2 | AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 726 on page 2, by | ||||||
3 | replacing lines 1 through 13 with the following:

4 | "Midwest/Low Cost Index. | ||||||
5 | By March 1, 2010 and March 1 of each year thereafter, the | ||||||
6 | Department of Children and Family Services shall report to the | ||||||
7 | Governor and General Assembly the estimated cost and additional | ||||||
8 | funding required to establish the rate for each child up to | ||||||
9 | 100% of the Foster Care Minimum Adequate Rates for Children | ||||||
10 | (MARC) for expenditures allowable under the federal Title IV-E | ||||||
11 | Foster Care Maintenance Program of the Social Security Act | ||||||
12 | related to the actual costs of providing food, clothing, | ||||||
13 | shelter, daily supervision, school supplies, personal | ||||||
14 | incidentals, insurance, and travel for visitation with a | ||||||
15 | child's biological family, jointly recommended by the National | ||||||
16 | Foster Parent Association, the University of Maryland School of | ||||||
17 | Social Work, and the organization Children's Rights in a |
