| 1 | AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 882

| 2 | AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 882 on page 3, by | ||||||
| 3 | replacing lines 20 through 26 with the following: | ||||||
| 4 | "final discharge, or release on parole or mandatory
supervised | ||||||
| 5 | release, as a
condition of his or her parole or mandatory | ||||||
| 6 | supervised release, or within 6 months from the effective date | ||||||
| 7 | of this amendatory Act of the 96th General Assembly, whichever | ||||||
| 8 | is sooner. Persons incarcerated on or after the effective date | ||||||
| 9 | of this amendatory Act of the 96th General Assembly shall be | ||||||
| 10 | required to submit a sample within 45 days of incarceration, or | ||||||
| 11 | prior to his or her final discharge, or release on parole or | ||||||
| 12 | mandatory supervised release, as a condition of his or her | ||||||
| 13 | parole or mandatory supervised release, whichever is sooner. | ||||||
| 14 | These specimens shall be placed into the State or national DNA | ||||||
| 15 | database, to be used in accordance with other provisions of | ||||||
| 16 | this Section, by the Illinois State Police.".
