| AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 1075

| AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 1075 by replacing |

| everything after the enacting clause with the following:

| "Section 5. The Toll Highway Act is amended by adding |

| Section 7.3 as follows:

| (605 ILCS 10/7.3 new) |

| Sec. 7.3. Petition. Upon receipt of a petition proposing a |
| 8 |
| change in a policy of the Authority, signed by not less than |
| 9 |
| 1,000 legal voters from one or more counties through which a |
| 10 |
| toll highway under the jurisdiction of the Authority passes, |
| 11 |
| the Board of Directors of the Authority shall, within 60 days, |
| 12 |
| place the proposal on the agenda of a regularly scheduled |
| 13 |
| meeting and discuss and vote on adoption of the proposal.".
