20 ILCS 3960/5.4 new










    Amends the Illinois Health Facilities Planning Act. Provides that a nursing home that receives a nursing home conversion grant under the Older Adult Services Act shall retain the Certificate of Need for its nursing and sheltered care beds that were converted for 15 years, as provided in that Act. Effective immediately.

    AN ACT concerning State government.

    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

represented in the General Assembly:

    Section 5. The Illinois Health Facilities Planning Act is 
5
amended  by adding Section 5.4 as follows:

    (20 ILCS 3960/5.4  new)

    Sec. 5.4. Nursing home conversions. A nursing home that 
8
receives a nursing home conversion grant under Section 30 of 
9
the Older Adult Services Act shall retain the Certificate of 
10
Need for its nursing and sheltered care beds that were 
11
converted for 15 years, as provided in subsection (e) of that 
12
Section.

    Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon 
14
becoming law.
