    AN ACT concerning local government.

    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

represented in the General Assembly:

    Section 5. The Illinois Municipal Code is amended by 
5
changing Section 8-8-10 as follows:

    Sec. 8-8-10. 
The
The corporate authorities of a

municipality may establish
an audit committee, and may appoint 
9
members of the corporate authority or
other appropriate

officers to the committee, to review audit reports prepared

11
under this Act and any other financial reports and documents, 
12
including
management letters prepared by or on behalf of the 
13
municipality.
