| AN ACT concerning local government.
|

| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
| 3 |
| represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 |
| Section 5. The Metropolitan Transit Authority Act is |
| 5 |
| amended by adding Section 53 as follows:
|
| 6 |
| (70 ILCS 3605/53 new) |
| 7 |
| Sec. 53. Emergency protocols. Within 6 months after the |
| 8 |
| effective date of this amendatory Act of the 96th General |
| 9 |
| Assembly, the Board must develop written protocols to respond |
| 10 |
| to medical and sanitation emergencies and to other safety |
| 11 |
| hazards.

| 12 |
| Section 10. The Regional Transportation Authority Act is |
| 13 |
| amended by adding Sections 3A.17 and 3B.16 as follows:

| (70 ILCS 3615/3A.17 new)
|
| 15 |
| Sec. 3A.17. Emergency protocols. Within 6 months after the |
| 16 |
| effective date of this amendatory Act of the 96th General |
| 17 |
| Assembly, the Suburban Bus Board must develop written protocols |
| 18 |
| to respond to medical and sanitation emergencies and to other |
| 19 |
| safety hazards.
