| AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 2296 by replacing |

| everything after the enacting clause with the following:

| "Section 5. The Regional Transportation Authority Act is |

| amended by adding Section 3b.16 as follows:

| (70 ILCS 3615/3b.16 new) |

| Sec. 3b.16. Emergency protocols. Within 6 months after the |
| 8 |
| effective date of this amendatory Act of the 96th General |
| 9 |
| Assembly, the Commuter Rail Board must develop written |
| 10 |
| protocols to respond to medical and sanitation emergencies and |
| 11 |
| to other safety hazards.

| 12 |
| Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon |
| 13 |
| becoming law.".
|
