    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 2475 as follows:

on page 8, by replacing lines 9 through 22 with the following:

    "(D) Exceptions.
5
        (1) Nothing in this Section shall be deemed to:

6
            (a) conflict with or affect the application of 
7
        security regulations or rules in employment 
8
        established by the United States, the State of 
9
        Illinois, or local government; nor
10
            (b) prohibit or prevent any financial institution, 
11
        in which deposits are insured by a federal agency 
12
        having jurisdiction over the financial institution, 
13
        from denying employment to or discharging from 
14
        employment any person who has been convicted of any 
15
        criminal offense involving dishonesty or a breach of 
16
        trust, unless it has the prior written consent of the

        federal agency having jurisdiction over the financial

        institution to hire or retain the person.

        (2) This Section does not  apply to the Department of

    Corrections and the Department of Juvenile Justice.".
