AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 2475

    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 2475, AS AMENDED, as

follows:

in Section 5, Sec. 2-103.5 by replacing subsection (D) with the 
5
following:

    "(D) Exceptions.
7
        (1) Nothing in this Section shall be deemed to:

8
            (a) conflict with or affect the application of 
9
        security regulations or rules in employment 
10
        established by the United States, the State of 
11
        Illinois, or local government; nor
12
            (b) prohibit or prevent a State's Attorney from 
13
        denying employment to or discharging from employment 
14
        any person who has been convicted of any criminal 
15
        offense.

        (2) This Section does not  apply to the Department of 
17
    Corrections and the Department of Juvenile Justice.

        (3) This Section does not apply to law enforcement 
2
    agencies.

        (4) This Section does not apply to a telecommunications 
4
    carrier as defined in Section 13-202 of the Public 
5
    Utilities Act, or any of its affiliates.

        (5) This Section does not apply to any bank holding 
7
    company, financial holding company, bank, savings bank, 
8
    savings and loan association, credit union, or trust 
9
    company, or any subsidiary or affiliate thereof, that is 
10
    authorized to do business under the laws of this State or 
11
    of the United States.".
