    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 2573 as follows:

on page 2, by replacing lines 2 through 8 with the following: 
4
"to contact the Department; (vii) protection against 
5
retaliation as provided by Section 6-101 of this Act; (viii) 
6
every institution of higher education shall post and keep 
7
posted at each campus in common area positions easily 
8
accessible to all students including, but not limited to 
9
residence halls, administration buildings, student unions, 
10
cafeterias, and libraries or (ix) every institution of higher 
11
education shall post annually at each campus in common area 
12
positions easily accessible to all students including, but not 
13
limited to residence halls, administration buildings, student 
14
unions, cafeterias, and libraries, in addition to including an 
15
electronic notice to each student at the time that registration 
16
materials are emailed."; and

on page 2, below line 8 by inserting the following:

    "(C) Upon notification of failure to post, the Department 
3
of Human Rights may launch a preliminary investigation. If the 
4
Department finds a failure to post, the Department may issue a 
5
"show cause" letter giving the institution 30 days to correct. 
6
If not corrected, the Department may file a charge of a civil 
7
rights violation."; and

on page 2, by replacing lines 21 through 23 with the following:

"engaged in sexual harassment in higher education.".
