| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
| 3 |
| represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 |
| Section 5. The Perfusionist Practice Act is amended by |
| 5 |
| changing Section 15 as follows:
|

| (Section scheduled to be repealed on January 1, 2010)

| Sec. 15. Powers and duties of the Department.
|
| 9 |
| (a) The
The Department shall exercise the powers and duties |
| 10 |
| prescribed by the
Civil
Administrative Code of Illinois for the |
| 11 |
| administration of licensing Acts
and shall exercise any other |
| 12 |
| powers and duties necessary for effectuating
the purposes of |
| 13 |
| this Act. |
| 14 |
| (b) The Department may adopt rules consistent with
the |
| 15 |
| provisions of
this Act for its administration and enforcement |
| 16 |
| and may prescribe
forms that shall be issued in connection with |
| 17 |
| this Act. The rules may
include but are not limited to |
| 18 |
| standards and criteria for licensure,
professional conduct, |
| 19 |
| and discipline.
