    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

represented in the General Assembly:

    Section 5. The Illinois Vehicle Code is amended by changing

Section 11-902 as follows:

    Sec. 11-902. Vehicle turning left. The
The driver of a 
8
vehicle intending to turn to the left within an
intersection or 
9
into an alley, private road, or driveway shall yield the

10
right-of-way to any vehicle approaching from the opposite 
11
direction which
is so close as to constitute an immediate 
12
hazard, but said driver, having
so yielded may proceed at such 
13
time as a safe interval occurs.
