| provide an articulated agricultural science teacher |

| education course of study. the agriculture science teacher |
| 3 |
| education programs located at Illinois State University, |
| 4 |
| Southern Illinois University, the University of Illinois, |
| 5 |
| and Western Illinois University. Public community colleges |
| 6 |
| in this State that provide an articulated agriculture |
| 7 |
| science teacher education course of study are also eligible |
| 8 |
| for funding. |
| 9 |
| (b) The funds provided by the State Board of Education |
| 10 |
| under subsection (a) of this Section may be used to support the |
| 11 |
| following activities: |
| 12 |
| (1) Teacher education candidate recruitment and |
| 13 |
| retention incentives. |
| 14 |
| (2) Having Master teachers and practitioners assist |
| 15 |
| with various aspects of the recruitment of potential |
| 16 |
| candidates and the preparation of those candidates as |
| 17 |
| skilled and qualified teachers of agricultural education |
| 18 |
| the preparation, coordination, and supervision of student |
| 19 |
| teachers. |
| 20 |
| (3) Establishing, and delivering, arranging for, or |
| 21 |
| providing financial support for professional development |
| 22 |
| experiences for new agricultural science teachers during |
| 23 |
| their first 5 years of teaching. |
| 24 |
| (4) Professional development for faculty in |
| 25 |
| universities' agricultural education teacher preparation |
| 26 |
| programs and for community college agriculture faculty |
