|
Amends the Illinois Public Aid Code, the Community Services Act, and the Community Support Systems Act. Directs the Department of Healthcare and Family Services, in cooperation with the Department of Human Services, to establish a Children's Healthcare Partnership Pilot Program in Sangamon County to fund the provision of various health care services, including family practice, pediatric, nursing (including advanced practice nursing), psychiatric, dental, and vision services, at a single location using a rate structure that is cost-based and similar to the rate structure used in the case of services provided by a Federally Qualified Health Center. Requires that the provider of health care services under the pilot program serve a disproportionate share of low-income or indigent patients.

| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|

| represented in the General Assembly:
|

| Section 5. The Illinois Public Aid Code is amended by |
5 |
| adding Section 12-4.37 as follows: |

| Sec. 12-4.37. Children's Healthcare Partnership Pilot |
8 |
| Program. The Department of Healthcare and Family Services, in |
9 |
| cooperation with the Department of Human Services, shall |
10 |
| establish a Children's Healthcare Partnership Pilot Program in |
11 |
| Sangamon County to fund the provision of various health care |
12 |
| services by a single provider, or a group of providers that |
13 |
| have entered into an agreement for that purpose, at a single |
14 |
| location in the county. Services covered under the pilot |
15 |
| program shall include, but need not be limited to, family |
16 |
| practice, pediatric, nursing (including advanced practice |
17 |
| nursing), psychiatric, dental, and vision services. The |
18 |
| Departments shall fund the provision of all services provided |
19 |
| under the pilot program using a rate structure that is |
20 |
| cost-based and similar to the rate structure used in the case |
21 |
| of services provided by a Federally Qualified Health Center. To |
22 |
| be selected by the Departments as the provider of health care |
23 |
| services under the pilot program, a provider or group of |
