AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 3677




2    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 3677, AS AMENDED,  by 
3replacing everything after the enacting clause with the 
4following:

 
5    "Section 5. The Illinois Vehicle Code is amended  by 
6changing Section 11-601.5 as follows:
 



7    (625 ILCS 5/11-601.5)



8    Sec. 11-601.5. Driving 31 30 miles per hour or more in 
9excess of
applicable limit. 
10    (a) A person who drives a vehicle upon any highway of
this 
11State at a speed that is 31 30 miles per hour or more but less 
12than 40 miles per hour in excess of
the applicable maximum 
13speed limit established under this Chapter or a
local ordinance 
14commits a Class B misdemeanor. 
15    (b)  A person who drives a vehicle upon any highway of
this 
16State at a speed that is 40 miles per hour or more in excess of

1the applicable maximum speed limit established under this 
2Chapter or a
local ordinance commits a Class A misdemeanor.
