    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 4779, AS AMENDED,

with reference to page and line numbers of House Amendment No. 
4
1, on page 3, by replacing lines 16 and 17 with the following:

"penalty may not exceed $100 per public agency for each 
6
emergency response provided for a first violation of Section 
7
11-503 or
11-601.5 of this Code or a similar provision of a 
8
local
ordinance.  The criminal penalty may not exceed $500 per 
9
public agency for each emergency response provided for a second 
10
or subsequent violation of Section 11-503 or
11-601.5 of this 
11
Code or a similar provision of a local
ordinance. As used in 
12
this subsection, "emergency".
