AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 4795

    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 4795 on page 1 by

replacing lines 17 through 22 with the following:

    "(b) Beginning July 1, 2010, the Executive Director of the 
5
State Commission shall be appointed by the Governor by and with 
6
the advice and consent of the Senate and the Secretary of the 
7
State Commission shall be appointed by the Governor; except 
8
that the
Secretary and Executive Director of the State 
9
Commission
serving on June 30, 2010 may continue to serve for 
10
the
remainder of their appointed terms."; and
 
11
on page 4, line 17, by inserting after "Act" the following:
12
"if they comply with the training standards as defined by the 
13
Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board or the State 
14
Police Merit Board"; and
 
15
on page 4, by replacing line 15 with the following:
