AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 4801

    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 4801 on page 3, by 
3
inserting immediately below line 7 the following:

    "(e)  This Section does not prohibit a person who is 
5
permanently disabled with a severe mobility impairment from 
6
possessing a single capuchin monkey to assist the person in 
7
performing daily tasks if:
8
        (1) the capuchin monkey was obtained from and trained 
9
    at a licensed nonprofit organization described in Section 
10
    501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, the 
11
    nonprofit tax status of which was obtained on the basis of 
12
    a mission to improve the quality of life of severely 
13
    mobility-impaired individuals; and
14
        (2) the person complies with the notification 
15
    requirements as described in subsection (b).".
