Amends the Public Utilities Act. Provides that the Illinois Commerce Commission shall require that an electric utility with less than 2 million customers set the due date on the bills of non-residential customers to no less than 20 days after the date of the postmark on the bill.

| AN ACT concerning utilities.
|

| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|

| represented in the General Assembly:
|

| Section 5. The Public Utilities Act is amended by adding |
5 |
| Section 8-304.5 as follows: |
6 |
| (220 ILCS 5/8-304.5 new) |
7 |
| Sec. 8-304.5. Due date for bills of non-residential |
8 |
| customers; utilities with less than 2 million customers. The |
9 |
| Commission shall require that an electric utility with less |
10 |
| than 2 million customers set the due date on the bills of |
11 |
| non-residential customers to no less than 20 days after the |
12 |
| date of the postmark on the bill.
