Appropriates $5,040,000 from the General Revenue Fund to the Department of Human Services for a grant to Feeding Illinois to operate the Food for Families Program. Effective July 1, 2010.

AN ACT concerning appropriations.
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:
Section 5. The amount of $5,040,000, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund to the Department of Human Services for a grant to Feeding Illinois to operate the Food for Families Program, which provides quality, nutritious food, including fresh fruits and vegetables, to those in need throughout Illinois.
Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1, 2010.
