AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 5378

    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 5378 by replacing 
3
line 25 on page 2 through line 5 on page 3 with the following:

    "Not more than 90 days after the effective date of this 
5
amendatory Act of the 96th General Assembly, the Commission 
6
shall direct the Office of Retail Market Development to  review 
7
the existing consumer education materials for residential and 
8
small commercial customers and consider whether updates to 
9
those materials are necessary.  The Office of Retail Market 
10
Development shall seek input from all interested persons to 
11
further its review of the consumer education materials and 
12
possible proposed changes.  Within 4 months after the start of 
13
the review, the Office of Retail Market Development shall 
14
submit recommendations to the Commission for approval.  If the 
15
Commission approves to prepare, print, and distribute 
16
additional consumer education materials, then a request shall 
17
be made subject to appropriations as described in subsection 
18
(j) of this Section."; and
