| AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 5981 as follows:

| on page 3, by replacing lines 22 and 23 with the following: |

| "(2) that consists of a sheltered English instruction |

| program or a program of 2-way bilingual"; and

| on page 4, by replacing line 11 with the following: |

| "is in both languages. For the purposes of this subdivision |

| (g), a sheltered English instruction".
