AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 6139

    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 6139 by replacing

everything after the enacting clause with the following:

    "Section 5. The Illinois Public Aid Code is amended  by 
5
adding Section 12-4.7b-1 as follows:

    (305 ILCS 5/12-4.7b-1 new)
7
    Sec. 12-4.7b-1. Suspension of benefits. The Department of 
8
Human Services shall immediately suspend a public aid 
9
recipient's benefits and deactivate the recipient's electronic 
10
benefits card or LINK card provided under the food stamp 
11
program upon receipt of a notarized notice from the Illinois 
12
State Police (ISP) confirming the public aid recipient's 
13
listing in ISP's outstanding criminal warrants database. The 
14
notarized notice shall be submitted upon request and must 
15
include at a minimum the following information: 
16
        (1) The public aid recipient's full name, date of

    birth, and social security number.

        (2) The name of the county that issued the criminal 
3
    warrant. 
4
        (3) A copy of the criminal warrant issued.".
