| AN ACT concerning transportation.
|

| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|

| represented in the General Assembly:
|

| Section 5. The Illinois Vehicle Code is amended by adding |
| 5 |
| Section 6-205.5 as follows: |

| Sec. 6-205.5. Suspension of driving privileges of person |
| 8 |
| with outstanding warrant. Upon receipt of a properly completed |
| 9 |
| and sworn affidavit, in a form prescribed by the Secretary of |
| 10 |
| State that shall include, at a minimum, the person's name, |
| 11 |
| address, and driver's license information, stating that the |
| 12 |
| person has an outstanding warrant for a felony and a copy of |
| 13 |
| the outstanding warrant for a felony from a law enforcement |
| 14 |
| agency, the Secretary of State shall immediately suspend the |
| 15 |
| driving privileges of the person. After the warrant is no |
| 16 |
| longer outstanding, it shall be the responsibility of the |
| 17 |
| person to apply to have his or her driving privileges restored |
| 18 |
| in a form prescribed by the Secretary of State. The person |
| 19 |
| applying to have his or her driving privileges reinstated shall |
| 20 |
| also submit to the Secretary of State a certified copy of the |
| 21 |
| court transcript demonstrating that the warrant is no longer |
| 22 |
| outstanding.
