| AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 6140 by replacing |

| everything after the enacting clause with the following:

| "Section 5. The Illinois Vehicle Code is amended by adding |

| Section 6-205.5 as follows:

| (625 ILCS 5/6-205.5 new) |

| Sec. 6-205.5. Suspension of driving privileges of person |
| 8 |
| with outstanding warrant. Upon receipt of a properly completed |
| 9 |
| and sworn affidavit that shall include, at a minimum, the |
| 10 |
| person's name, address, and driver's license information |
| 11 |
| stating that the person has an outstanding warrant and a copy |
| 12 |
| of the outstanding warrant from a law enforcement agency, the |
| 13 |
| Secretary of State shall immediately suspend the driving |
| 14 |
| privileges of the person. After the warrant is no longer |
| 15 |
| outstanding, it shall be the responsibility of the person to |
| 16 |
| apply to have his or her driving privileges restored.".
