| 1 | AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 6141

| 2 | AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 6141 on page 6, line | ||||||
| 3 | 20, by inserting after the period the following: | ||||||
| 4 | "The court shall waive the penalty established by this | ||||||
| 5 | subsection (i) if the court finds that the accused made a good | ||||||
| 6 | faith attempt to appear or for good cause was unable to appear, | ||||||
| 7 | or if the accused voluntarily surrenders himself or herself to | ||||||
| 8 | a peace officer no later than 48 hours after the time specified | ||||||
| 9 | for the court appearance.".
