Appropriates $44,060,000 from the General Revenue Fund to the Department of Public Health for expenses of AIDS/HIV Education, Drugs, Services, Counseling, Testing, Referral and Partner Notification, and Patient and Worker Notification. Effective July 1, 2010.

AN ACT concerning appropriations.
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:
Section 5. In addition to other amounts appropriated for this purpose, the amount of $44,060,000, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund to the Department of Public Health for expenses of AIDS/HIV Education, Drugs, Services, Counseling, Testing, Referral and Partner Notification (CTRPN), and Patient and Worker Notification pursuant to Public Act 87-763. Of this amount, $29,560,000 shall be used to meet the increased need for HIV/AIDS medication through the AIDS Drug Assistance Program and $14,500,000 shall be granted for housing, medical care, and other supportive services for people with HIV/AIDS and for evidence-based HIV prevention programs serving individuals at high risk of HIV infection.
Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1, 2010.
