SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
 
105 ILCS 5/10-20.53 new
105 ILCS 5/34-18.45 new

    Amends the School Code. Provides that public funds may not be utilized to promote or aid any sort of restructuring, reconfiguring, reconstituting, or likewise of a public school that would have the effect of privatizing the majority of the school's employees or would result in the replacement of the majority of unionized teachers or professional school support personnel with non-unionized employees. Effective immediately.

1     AN ACT concerning education.
 
2     Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
 
4     Section 5. The School Code is amended by adding Sections
5 10-20.53 and 34-18.45 as follows:
 
6     (105 ILCS 5/10-20.53 new)
7     Sec. 10-20.53. Use of public funds for school
8 deunionization prohibited. Public funds may not be utilized to
9 promote or aid any sort of restructuring, reconfiguring,
10 reconstituting, or likewise of a public school that would have
11 the effect of privatizing the majority of the school's
12 employees or would result in the replacement of the majority of
13 unionized teachers or professional school support personnel
14 with non-unionized employees.
