| 1 | AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 6379

| 2 | AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 6379 by replacing | ||||||
| 3 | everything after the enacting clause with the following:

| 4 | "Section 5. The Metropolitan Transit Authority Act is | ||||||
| 5 | amended by adding Section 54 as follows: | ||||||
| 6 | (70 ILCS 3605/54 new) | ||||||
| 7 | Sec. 54. Community art to decorate viaducts. Beginning in | ||||||
| 8 | fiscal year 2011, the Board must use 2% of its capital budget | ||||||
| 9 | to create and implement programs to decorate rail viaducts with | ||||||
| 10 | community art projects including the provision of adequate | ||||||
| 11 | lighting to ensure the safety and visibility of the art | ||||||
| 12 | projects. | ||||||
| 13 | Section 10. The Regional Transportation Authority Act is | ||||||
| 14 | amended by adding Sections 3A.18 and 3B.17 as follows: | ||||||

| 13 | provision of adequate lighting to ensure the safety and | ||||||
| 14 | visibility of the art projects.

| 15 | Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon | ||||||
| 16 | becoming law.".
