SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
Amends Public Act 96-46 to remove an appropriation of $2,700,000 from the State Board of Education Federal Department of Education Fund to the State Board of Education for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2009, to be used by the State Board exclusively for the Longitudinal Data Systems Project and not, under any circumstances, for personal services expenditures or other operational or administrative costs. Appropriates $2,700,000 from the Federal Department of Education Fund to the State Board of Education for the payment of ordinary and contingent expenses related to the Longitudinal Data System. Effective immediately.

AN ACT concerning appropriations.
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:
Section 5. "An Act making appropriations", Public Act 96-46, approved July 15, 2009, is amended by changing Section 7 of Article 60 and adding Section 8 to Article 60 as follows:

Sec. 7. The following amounts, or so much thereof as may be necessary, which shall be used by the Illinois State Board of Education exclusively for the foregoing purposes and not, under any circumstances, for personal services expenditures or other operational or administrative costs, are appropriated to the Illinois State Board of Education for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2009:

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon becoming law.
