25 ILCS 120/5.7 new











     Amends the Compensation Review Act.  For fiscal year 2011, reduces by 10% the annual compensation of (i) directors, secretaries, assistant directors, and assistant secretaries of State agencies under the Governor's jurisdiction and (ii) compensated members of State boards and commissions under the Governor's jurisdiction.  Effective immediately.

    AN ACT concerning State government.

    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

represented in the General Assembly:

    Section 5. The Compensation Review Act is amended  by adding 
5
Section 5.7 as follows:

    (25 ILCS 120/5.7 new)

    Sec. 5.7. FY11 compensation reduction.  Notwithstanding the 
8
provisions of any law to the contrary, for the State fiscal 
9
year beginning July 1, 2010, the annual compensation of each of 
10
the following is reduced by 10%: (i) directors, secretaries, 
11
assistant directors, and assistant secretaries of State 
12
agencies under the jurisdiction of the Governor and (ii) 
13
compensated members of executive branch boards and commissions 
14
under the jurisdiction of the Governor.

    Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon 
16
becoming law.
