| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |
| 3 |
| Representatives are pleased to honor Doloris Dillenkoffer of |
| 4 |
| Hinsdale for the many years of dedicated service she has given |
| 5 |
| to her community; and
|
| 6 |
| WHEREAS, Doloris Dillenkoffer, known in her community as |
| 7 |
| "Grandma D", has dedicated much of her life to serving others |
| 8 |
| without asking for anything in return; her day begins at 6 |
| 9 |
| A.M., when she gets out of bed and heads to services at Notre |
| 10 |
| Dame Church in Clarendon Hills; after helping out at the |
| 11 |
| church; she makes her way to ManorCare in Hinsdale, where she |
| 12 |
| has volunteered for the past 11 years as an all-around |
| 13 |
| volunteer and as a sounding board for ManorCare's residents; at |
| 14 |
| the end of her day, she drives up her 75-foot driveway to her |
| 15 |
| home to begin her nightly routine, consisting a pre-dinner |
| 16 |
| drink, her dinner, watching television, and going to bed; the |
| 17 |
| only day she keeps to herself is Saturday, when she catches up |
| 18 |
| on various chores at her house; and
|
| 19 |
| WHEREAS, Prior to her service at ManorCare, Doloris |
| 20 |
| Dillenkoffer was one of the most popular waitresses at the |
| 21 |
| now-defunct Cypress Restaurant; even after her service at the |
| 22 |
| restaurant, she still reunites with a group of former customers |
| 23 |
| once a year; and |
